The Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) and its regional development bodies have opened an e-auction for residential, commercial, group housing, chunk, and institutional sites across Punjab. The auction began on September 25 at noon and will conclude on October 6 at noon, officials confirmed.

Officials said the Mohali real estate e auction is expected to draw strong interest, particularly in SAS Nagar and New Chandigarh, where demand for both residential and commercial sites has been growing rapidly. Rising interest from IT companies, township developers, and retail investors has already placed these zones among the most active in the state.
The government has also announced special incentives for bidders. Successful participants can secure allotment by paying just 10 percent of the bidding amount upfront. In addition, a 15 percent rebate will be offered on the remaining balance if it is paid in a lump sum within 120 days from the allotment date.
Authorities have also issued a set of important notes for bidders:
– Participation requires OTP or DSC-based verification.
– Devices used for bidding must be GPS-enabled.
– NEFT and RTGS transactions may take time to reconcile, so participants are advised to initiate payments at least 24 hours before the scheduled closing.
– Any corrigendum, extension, or change in auction details will be announced only on the official e-auction portal.

Analysts believe the outcome of the Mohali real estate e auction will serve as an indicator of wider investor sentiment across Punjab.
