The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority will host a one-day camp in Mohali on Saturday to issue long-pending clearance certificates to property allottees, developers, and promoters. The initiative, announced by GMADA Chief Administrator Vishesh Sarangal, is aimed at easing public access to essential property-related services.
The GMADA clearance certificates camp in Mohali will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Meeting Hall on the second floor of PUDA Bhawan. Officials said the camp will not only distribute certificates but also allow residents to raise concerns about delays or difficulties they face in routine property services.
According to Sarangal, GMADA has already streamlined multiple citizen-focused services, including conveyance deeds, no-dues certificates, permissions for property transfers, and the sanctioning of building plans. The clearance certificates camp in Mohali is an extension of these ongoing efforts to ensure that paperwork is processed quickly and efficiently.
Senior officials from key departments such as the Estate Office (Plots), Estate Office (Housing), and the District Town Planning divisions are expected to attend. Their presence is intended to ensure grievances are heard and solutions are discussed on the spot.
Promoters and developers will also be able to seek clarity on project-related clearances. Sarangal said that GMADA has been actively monitoring service delivery across departments to avoid unnecessary delays.
The Chief Administrator emphasized that the clearance certificates camp in Mohali is not just an administrative formality but also an attempt to strengthen trust with citizens. “We want people to feel confident that their concerns are addressed and that the system works in their interest,” he said.
Public feedback gathered during the camp will be reviewed to improve service delivery in the future. Officials noted that such initiatives help reduce paperwork backlogs and make property transactions in Mohali more transparent.
GMADA has been under pressure in recent years to modernize its systems, with residents frequently citing delays in property-related approvals. The clearance certificates camp in Mohali is being seen as a step toward resolving those concerns and improving the authority’s image.
The initiative reflects a broader trend in Punjab’s urban development bodies, which are moving toward faster, more citizen-friendly digital and physical services. Whether the move will significantly reduce bottlenecks remains to be seen, but for many allottees and developers, Saturday’s camp could provide much-needed relief.
